From February 1: Black House in Zagreb, Croatia

Music by Darko Hajsek
Lyrics by Ladislav Prežigalo
Directed by Igor Barberic
Produced by B Glad Produkcija

Black House (Crna kuća in Croatian) is the hilarious tale of characters in 16th-century Kaptol and Gric, the two rival towns that combined to form Zagreb. Set against the backdrop of Croatia's war with Turkey, we see our hero, Juraj, defend Kaptol against the evildoer Hudi and his clumsy clan, amidst lighthearted drunkenness, love, witchcraft, and a couple of misguided disguises. There's a plethora of musical styles including contemporary theatre, tango, tap, gospel, Bollywood, Turkish, and even a few bars of conga and salsa for good measure. I'm honored to have had the opportunity to musically supervise Black House and work with B Glad Produkcija and our fantastic cast.
